Gameplay Details
1) How many stages are there?

➥ There are a total of 5 stages, and each stage will be unlocked per day starting from the first day of the event. In other words, you need 5 days to unlock every stage in the event.

➥ In each stage, there are 2 types of exploration: Surface Exploration and Deep Exploration. It’s easier to understand that the Surface is the easy mode while the Deep is the hard mode.
➥ There are 8 levels (or floors) in the Surface Exploration while only 6 levels in the Deep Exploration. But the end goal is the same where you need to find treasures (especially keycards) on each floor and fight the big boss on the last floor to complete the stage.
2) What do I need to do on each level?
1. Illuminate all areas
➥ From the starting point, you can explore adjacent to dimmed areas to illuminate them at the cost of your Stamina. There are 2 methods to restore Stamina:
2. Recover Stamina = Provision Supplies

- In Surface Exploration, 8 Stamina can be restored after entering the next level. However, in Deep Exploration, your Stamina won’t be restored.
- Find Provision Supplies on each level (by exploring all the squares).
➥ If you run out of Stamina, for every 1 Stamina consumed after that, a percentage of the HP of all team members will be reduced (Healers are very important here).
➥ When all characters are knocked down, the exploration will automatically end and your result will be calculated.
3. Increase Stats = Ancient Weapons and Armors

➥ There will be Ancient Weapons and Armors that you can collect to increase the characters’ stats to have an easier time battling all kinds of enemies in the ruins.
➥ The stats you obtain from the Surface Exploration can be shared in the Deep Exploration (but only of the same ruin). For example, all the buffs from Stage 1 Surface Exploration will be shared with Stage 1 Deep Exploration only.
4. Recover Health = Healing Supplies

➥ There are also Healing Supplies on each level, and it will restore the HP of all characters in the team. I recommend leaving this for the last (as in after defeating every enemy on the floor) before collecting it.
5. Get a Bomb to Insta-Kill Normal Enemy

➥ Ancient Bombs can be used to immediately defeat 1 Normal Enemy. It can’t be used on Elite Enemy, and you can differentiate them both by the red icon beside the Enemy. The red icon means it’s an Elite Enemy and you can’t use a Bomb on them.
➥ I recommend you save at least 1 Ancient Bomb before entering the next level because there are certain enemies (Normal Enemy that can summon more Normal Enemy) that should be wiped out as fast as you can.
6. Get Buffs = Use Ancient Relics

➥ Ancient Relics can provide buffs for single battles. Additionally, completing relic challenges grants additional rewards. Press [U] during the battle to see the objective for Relics to get the bonus rewards.
➥ If you discover an Ancient Relic, it’s best if you leave it be and defeat the Normal Enemy without it first. Then if you want to face the Elite Enemy, you can take the Ancient Relic before entering the battle. That is if there’s only 1 Ancient Relic on the floor. If you found more than 1, use it anytime you want to not waste it.
7. Discover Resources

➥ You can see in the top left corner how many resources are left on each level. A friendly reminder that the enemy is also counted as Undiscovered Resources on each level. It’s because once you defeated them, you will get a random resource (like the Ancient Weapon, Armor, or others).
➥ Another important reminder is that you DON’T have to fight all enemies. If you already found the keycard to the next floor, then you can skip every undiscovered resource and go to the next level.
8. Kill the Last Boss

➥ Defeat the big boss on the last floor to activate the Teleporter that will end the exploration. You can’t skip this battle if you want to complete this ruin and get all rewards.
3) Do I need to collect all resources at each level?

➥ The requirement to unlock all rewards is to complete the stages, NOT to collect all resources on the stages. However, the resources (specifically Ancient Weapon and Armor) will give you buffs (stats) that can be inherited from Surface Exploration to Deep Exploration.
➥ That’s why, it is highly recommended to collect all resources to maximize the buffs you have when facing the boss in both Surface and Deep Exploration.
➥ However, there’s a cap for each buff! Once you hit the cap, the Ancient Weapon and Armory you collected won’t stack any more buffs, but they will be exchanged to heal your team instead. That’s why, pay attention to the stacked buffs. If you see it did not increase anymore, try to avoid any more battles and completed the ruin.
4) How many Trial Characters are there?

➥ In each stage, you will get 2 Trial Characters and you need a minimum of 4 people in the team before you can enter the stage.

➥ Optimize your team before entering the stage, but don’t worry about it too much because you can get more characters further inside the levels.
Deep Exploration Guides
~ This section assumes you obtain all inheritable buffs from Surface Exploration ~
Ancient Ruin 1

➥ The best team here would be a Lightning or Ice DPS team. Jing Yuan and Serval are highly recommended (for obvious reasons) because there are a lot of robot enemies here, and Lightning solves all the troubles!
➥ Erudition is very important here because although there are only 2 enemies as the last boss, one of them can summon more Automatons, and having a single-target DPS (Hunt) or Blast attack (Destruction) may not be enough.
➥ Maximum Buffs:
1) DMG Boost +400%
2) DoT Boost +320%
3) DMG Reduction +40%
New Enemies in Ruin 1

➥ They are the most normal enemy in every Ruin. Or in simple terms, it’s a mob. You can destroy this enemy without entering any battle using an Ancient Bomb.

➥ This one has the same image as the Normal Enemy, but you can see the red icon on its top right. This indicates that this one is Elite Enemy. You can’t use Ancient Bomb to destroy it.

➥ Boss has a fire aura around it and is always on the last floor only. They are essentially the last boss for the Ruin and you need to defeat them to consider this Ruin Exploration a success.
Cheat Sheet for Level 1 to Level 6
➥ Important: For each level, pay attention to the Door. Some of the levels have a maximum of 4 types of format: If your door is on the left side while mine is on the right side (or up and down), the position of enemies (marked with a red circle) and resources will usually be mirrored too.

Tips for Last Boss

➥ For the last boss, there are 2 main enemies: Automaton Grizzly and Automaton Direwolf. As usual, the Grizzly one will often summon Automaton Spiders. Like in my many other guides, I recommend focusing on the Spiders first so it can’t deal Fire Blsat DMG to your characters. By defeating it first, it will deal Fire DMG to their own ally instead of your team.

➥ While for the Direwolf, it can lock on to a single target. If the target does not have a Shield when hit by this ability, a random ally of theirs suffers Dismantle (Bleed debuff). But this attack and the debuff is not that dangerous so I still prefer bringing a healer instead of a shielder.
Ancient Ruin 2

➥ It goes without saying that Quantum is the best element here because both last bosses are weak to it. But since you will get Silver Wolf that can inflict new Weakness on an enemy, you can choose other elemental DPS instead.
➥ Erudition isn’t really recommended here because there are only 2 enemies in the last battle, and you want high single-target DPS instead of AoE. Of course, there will be mobs in the previous battles, but most of them can be handled with Destruction characters with their Blast attacks (or you can bring Erudition first and swap it to Hunt later before entering the last battle). Hunt + Destruction + Nihility/Harmony + Abundance is the best choice here.
➥ Maximum Buffs:
1) DMG Boost +400%
2) Break Effect Boost +800%
3) DMG Reduction +40%
New Enemies in Ruin 2

➥ When the countdown on this enemy reaches 0, it will reduce your Stamina. Unlike Normal Enemy, this one can’t lock down the surrounding area. This one is dangerous in Deep Exploration (since Stamina won’t be restored) and you should use an Ancient Bomb to immediately destroy it before it can deplete your Stamina.

➥ Another enemy with a countdown, where once the countdown ends, they will have an increased attack when you enter the battle with it. This type of enemy can put the surrounding areas on lock down.

➥ This enemy will start a countdown based on your actions. When the countdown ends, it will summon a Normal Enemy in an empty area (meaning it won’t drop any props even if you defeat it). Both the Summoning and the Normal Enemy will not lock down the surrounding area.

➥ Important: For each level, pay attention to the Door. Some of the levels have a maximum of 4 types of format: If your door is on the left side while mine is on the right side (or up and down), the position of enemies (marked with a red circle) and resources will usually be mirrored too.
➥ Important Part 2: I only marked the original enemy’s location. There’s a new type of Normal Enemy here that can summon more Normal Enemy. The summoned enemies are not marked because I defeat all summoners beforehand using a Bomb (as you should too).

Tips for Last Boss

➥ For the last boss, I recommend you focus on the Ice Out of Space because it (has a high chance) can Freeze your character. Of course, you can recover using a cleanser like Luocha, but it’s better to avoid being frozen altogether because the affected character can’t even move and you might miss out on the extra DPS/debuff/buff.

➥ That’s not to say Blaze Out of Space is not dangerous. No, the fire one is also dangerous, but their skill set can be handled much easier than the ice one. One of the notable effects it can afflict on your character is Enkindle, where your character will take Fire DMG in each turn). Of course, just like being frozen, your cleanser should be able to remove this debuff too.
Ancient Ruin 3

➥ Based on the Trial Characters given and the Upcoming Enemies, Lightning is once again the best element for the Ruin (almost similar to Ruin 1). Since the Ruin Stats increase Follow-up attack DMG, definitely bring the Trial Jing Yuan if you don’t have him so he can take advantage of the buff.
➥ Other recommended characters that can use this buff are Himeko, Herta, and also Blade. But remember that their elements don’t really go well for BOTH Elite Enemies, unlike Lightning.
➥ Maximum Buffs:
1) DMG Boost +400%
2) Follow-up attack DMG increases +320%
3) DMG Reduction +40%
New Enemies in Ruin 3

➥ Garrison Enemy can strengthen itself by the number of unexplored areas around it. They can’t lock down the surrounding area. If you want to enter battle with this type of enemy, make sure to explore the areas around it first to remove the buff.

➥ This enemy can increase the ATK of enemies in its surrounding areas. It can’t lock down the surrounding areas. Make sure to remove this type of enemy, especially if the enemy around it is an Elite Enemies or Bosses.

Tips for Last Boss

➥ Since you bring Jing Yuan, you should be able to deal damage to both Elite Enemies at once. But out of the two, you should focus on the Searing Prowler before Frigid Prowler. Yes, Frigid Prowler can freeze your character, but Searing Prowler has a lower HP and deal huge single-target and Blast DMG with Burn debuff that will make your character take Fire DMG in each turn. It’s better if you can focus on taking out one enemy first.

➥ However, whenever the Frigid Prowler summons more mobs, make sure to take them out first because you don’t want it to devour one of the Shadewalker and increase its ATK. In addition, Frigid Prowler’s DEF will also be decreased if there are no Everwinter Shadewalkers on the field.

➥ Both Elite Enemies can inflict debuff (Deep Freeze from Frigid Prowler and Burn from Searing Prowler) on your character, so hopefully your healer is still alive and can cleanse the debuff before it’s too late (My healer died on the previous floor but thankfully Gepard managed to keep my team safe).
Ancient Ruin 4

➥ There are only 2 enemies in the last boss stage, and Blade + Luocha is the best combination to deal with them. Add a Debuffer/Buffer and AoE DPS for the early stages first because there are lots of mobs at early levels. Once you get any Free Character Option where you can bring your own character, bring a single-target DPS like Seele or Dan Heng to replace the Jing Yuan (AoE) for the last boss.
➥ Maximum Buffs:
1) DMG Boost +400%
2) Basic ATK DMG increases +320%
3) DMG Reduction +40%
New Enemies in Ruin 4

➥ Trotter enemy in the Ruin is similar to Trotter in the world where it will drop random items after you defeat them. If you didn’t defeat the Trotter the countdown ends, it will run away and the items also disappear. This enemy will not lock down the surrounding area.

➥ A specific golden Trotter will drop a Door Card once you defeat it. Similar to the previous Trotter, it will also run away once the countdown ends. But don’t worry because there will be another Elite Enemy with a Door Card.

Tips for Last Boss

➥ Guardian Shadow (white hat) is far more dangerous because of her Banning skills. She can ban Normal Attack/Skills/from attacking her, or she would attack your characters that violate the ban. And her counterattack is quite hurtful if you have insufficient DEF or low HP. That’s why it’s recommended to focus on Guardian Shadow first.

➥ Decaying Shadow (black hat) has pretty normal skills and a small chance to inflict Imprisonment on a character, but that debuff can be removed with a cleanser. The only worrying attack is the Binding of Golden Age which makes her have 9 stacks of Gauge Recollection. You need to attack her when she has this (and ignore Guarding Shadow for the time being) to reduce the stacks as much as possible. The more stacks she has, the higher her next attack (Liberation of the Golden Age) will be.
Ancient Ruin 5

➥ With DoT Boost as one of the bonuses, it goes without saying that the DoT team is really beneficial for this stage. For the early levels, you can bring any characters you want because the enemies have a variety of weaknesses. But it’s best to bring an AoE DPS along with debuffer/buffer. When getting the free Trial Characters option during exploration, you can slowly change the party members to a complete DoT team (preferably Kafka, Sampo, Asta, and a healer) before fighting the last bass- Svarog.
➥ Maximum Buffs:
1) DMG Boost +400%
2) DoT Boost +320%
3) DMG Reduction +40%
Cheat Sheet for Level 1 to 10

Tips for Last Boss

➥ I reckon you won’t have too much problem with Svarog if you bring the DoT team I recommended because their combination can easily inflict Weakness Break on Svarog and its Auxiliary Robot Arm Unit.

➥ Speaking of the Auxiliary Robot Arm Unit, whenever Svarog summons it, make sure to focus all your characters on this enemy first. You don’t want it to capture any of your characters or they might accidentally die. But if this unit had the time to Imprison your character, hopefully your remaining character has the right elements to inflict Weakness Break on this unit so they let the Imprisoned character go. Once it’s defeated, continue fighting Svarog until the end.
