The Preservation – Fire
Role: Tank or Sub DPS
Skill Priority: Ultimate > Talent > Basic > Skill
Trailblazer Fire is a 5* Preservation character and is unlocked after clearing Jarilo-VI’s Main Story. Trailblazer (Fire) is mainly used as a tank/shielder. You will also have access to all their Eidolons via the Shop/Story. An overall better version of Trailblazer when compared to its Physical version.
Basic: While the Trailblazer may use their Basic Attack often to help with Skill Point generation, their skillset is not catered towards being a Main/Sub damage dealer. Additionally, if the Trailblazer uses their Basic attack (Not enhanced) they gain 1 stack of Magma Will.
Skill: Increases Trailblazer’s DMG Reduction and gains 1 stack of Magma Will, with a 100% base chance to Taunt all enemies for 1 turn. A great Skill that can be used to draw aggro or redirect Lock-On attacks to the Trailblazer. Additionally, after using Skill, the DMG taken by all allies reduces by 15% for 1 turn if Trace “The Strong Defend the Weak” is unlocked.
Ultimate: Deals AoE Fire DMG to all enemies on the field equal to a percentage of both the Trailblazer’s ATK and DEF. Additionally, the next Basic ATK will be automatically enhanced and does not cost Magma Will. This Ultimate can deal a respectable amount of damage due to its split scaling.
Talent: Trailblazer (Fire)’s Talent first effect revolves around Magma Will stacks. If Trailblazer is hit, they gain 1 stack. When Magma Will has 4 stacks or higher, the next Basic ATK becomes enhanced and deals DMG to enemies adjacent to the main target. Additionally, for its second effect, whenever the Trailblazer uses a Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate, a shield is applied to all allies that absorb a percentage of Trailblazer’s DEF. Most of Trailblazer’s kit passively generates Magma will stacks, this allows the Trailblazer to quickly build towards their Enhanced Basic.
Trailblazer (Fire) = Tank
As Trailblazer (Fire) is a universally strong Tank/Taunter they can fit into any type of team. Fill the roles on the team comp above as you see fit. We highly recommend bringing a healer along for this team as Trailblazer (Fire)’s shield is usually not enough to block large damaging attacks.
Relics And Sub-stats
|Relic Set and Stats|
1. Knight of Purity Palace 4pc
1. Fleet of the Ageless
2. Belobog of Architects
Planet Sphere: DEF%
Link Rope: DEF% or Energy Regen Rate
Sub Stat Priority: SPD > DEF% > HP%
Knight of Purity Palace 4pc: Trailblazer (Fire)’s best relic set as not only does it increase DEF, it also increases the max DMG that can be absorbed by Trailblazer (Fire)’s Shield.
Fleet of the Ageless 2pc: Your goto set for most Supports, tanks or healers as it is extremely stamina efficient to farm.
Belobog of Architects 2pc: You can consider going for this planetary set if you want to make Trailblazer (Fire) tankier.
Note that since Trailblazer (Fire)’s Eidolons are all free and easily accessible, you will most likely have them all unlocked as you progress through the game (Currently only 5 available).
E1: When a Basic attack is used, it deals an additional 25% Fire DMG equal to 25% of Trailblazer (Fire)’s DEF and if using Enhanced Basic, deals an additional 50% Fire DMG equal to Trailblazer DEF.
E2: Increases the amount of damage the Shield can block by 2% of Trailblazer (Fire) DEF plus 27. A fairly underwhelming Eidolon as the additional Shield HP provided is nothing significant.
E4: At the start of battle immediately gain 4 stacks of Magma Will. Allows you to immediately use an Enhanced Basic, it synergizes well with E6 as this allows Trailblazer (Fire) to get an instant 10% DEF buff if needed.
E6: After Trailblazer (Fire) uses an Enhanced Basic or Ultimate, their DEF is increased by 10%. This effect can stack up to 3 times. A straightforward Eidolon that makes Trailblazer (Fire) tankier and increases their Shield HP.
Moment of Victory: A premium 5* light cone that is currently BIS for Trailblazer (Fire). Its first effect increases the DEF and Effect Hit Rate of the wearer. The DEF increase helps bolster Trailblazer (Fire)’s Shield. While its secondary effect increases the chances that the wearer will be targeted, this ties in well with its final effect that increases DEF by an additional percentage if the wearer is attacked.
Texture of Memories: A F2P 5* Preservation light cone that is available from Herta’s Shop. It increases the wearer’s Effect RES, and if the wearer is attacked and has no Shield, they gain a Shield equal to a percentage of their max HP for 2 turns. This effect can only be triggered every 3 turns. However, if the wearer has a Shield applied to them when they are attacked, the damage is instead decreased. An overall strong light cone that provides decent effects, but it can be difficult to justify going for this light cone in the early game as there are better options in Herta’s Shop, such as Cruising in the Stellar Seas and On the Fall of an Aeon.
Landau’s Choice: A 4* gacha-only light cone that increases the likelihood of the wearer to be attacked while decreasing the DMG taken by 16% (Superimpose 1). Trailblazer (Fire) highly appreciates the DMG Reduction provided by this light cone as it synergizes well with their Skill.
Day One of My New Life: A 4* gacha-only light cone that helps with the wearer and team’s survivability. It increases the wearer’s DEF by 16% (Superimpose 1) and increases the DMG RES of all allies by 8% after entering battle. An overall strong light cone that helps increase the HP of Trailblazer (Fire) Shield while also providing team utility with its DMG RES increase for the entire party. A minor thing to note about this light cone is that the DEF increase provided by its effect scales to a maximum of 24% which is worse than other alternatives such as This is Me! and Trend of the Universal Market, which reaches 32% at Superimpose 5.
We Are Wildfire: A F2P 4* Preservation light cone that is available from the cumulative rewards from Shield shop and Light Cone Manifest, making it quite accessible to Superimpose 5. An overall strong light cone that decreases the damage taken by all allies for 5 turns, and at the same time, immediately restores HP to all allies equal to 30% of their HP difference between the characters’ Max and current HP. With this light cone being free, all players should have at least 1 copy of this light cone.
