This is the 2nd part of Todd Riordan’s Academic Research: The Three Draconic Transformations. A third part will be available after a daily reset on the day you finish this mission.
➥ Teleport to Earthrise Agora space anchor in Central Starskiff Haven and head north towards the quest icon. The NPC for this mission is Todd, an elderly sitting on a bench. Talk to him to start the mission. Remember that you need to complete the 1st day first.
1st Task – Take Photos in Scalegorge Waterscape
➥ For the first task, you need to take an image of various items. The first one is a photo of the high elder statue. Teleport to Scalegorge Waterscape and head towards the Dan Feng-looking statue and take an image of it using the Camera given by pressing [R].
➥ The second item is a photo of a Vidyadhara egg. It’s the huge flowers on a colorful tile. The one you need to take a photo of will have a target icon on it when you open your Kamera.
➥ The third item is a photo of a Vidyadhara historical mural. There are many enemies in this area so you can either defeat them all first or use Seele’s Talent to be invisible and take the photo peacefully.
➥ The last item you need to take a photo of is the dragon-shaped ray of light at the far west of Scalegorge Waterscape. After that, return to Todd and give him all the pictures you’d taken before. He will then give you the next task.
2nd Task – Xianzhou Rubbings in Alchemy Commission
➥ For the second task, you need to piece together the hidden markings in the Alchemy Commission and collect the completed rubbing. To complete the hidden marking, you need to stand at a specific location and angle the 2 markings perfectly.
➥ For the first marking of the Abundance Aeon, you need to stand in front of the long chair, on the left side of it. Once you angle the marking correctly, your Camera icon will light up and you can use it to complete the optical rubbing.
➥ The second marking looks like the roots of an enormous tree suspected to be the Ambrosial Arbor. Stand just in front of the flower bed under the Dragon Tree to match the two markings.
➥ The third marking looks like a warrior with a bow. Stand in front of the red-leaved tree and beside the boxes to complete the marking. Now that you take a picture of all the markings in the Alchemy Commission, return to Todd and give him all the pictures. Your next task is also matching the markings but in Scalegorge Waterscape.
3rd Task – Xianzhou Rubbings in Scalegorge Waterscape
➥ The first mark shows the Xianzhou starskiff and it’s not hard to match the two markings as you just need to stand in front of the nearest pillar.
➥ The second marking is a gigantic flying ship. Look from below and gaze above towards the fallen pillar and match it with the huge pillar behind it.
➥ On the route to the third marking, there will be lots of enemies so you should defeat them first before being ambushed. For this one, you need to stand really near the edge of the pavement to match the markings.
➥ The fourth marking shows five silhouettes (suspected to be Jingliu, Dan Feng, Blade, Jing Yuan, and another unknown person). You need to stand behind the furthest lamp in front of the mural to match the marking on the wall.
➥ The last mark shows a being with wings on its back. This may be quite tricky because you need to pass through a small path behind a fallen pillar to see the mark that completes the whole image. There will be a breakable vase near the opening of this path so you can look for the vase first. After getting all the markings here, return to Todd and give him all the images. You will get your last task later.
4th Task – Escort Todd to Scalegorge Waterscape
➥ Take Todd to inspect the Vidyadhara high elder statue in the Scalegorge Waterscape. There will be no battles thorough this whole escort mission.
➥ The next location is the Vidyadhara eggs spot. Suspiciously, Todd left his empty note at the high elder statue so you need to retrieve it alone while Todd is left here for a while doing something.
➥ After returning to the Central Starskiff Haven, you will complete the mission and need to wait for a daily reset to get the continuation.
