Gameplay Overview
Event Gameplay Duration:
➥ July 21, 2023, 12:00:00 (Server time) – August 7, 2023, 03:59:00 (Server time)
Eligibility:
➥ Complete the Trailblaze Mission “Xianzhou Luofu — A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant”
Event Overview:
➥ After the event starts, a new Hero’s Journey will be unlocked every day, for a total of 3 Hero’s Journey. Upon completion of each Journey, some “Legends Past and Present” combat challenges will be unlocked.

Gameplay Details
Hero’s Journey
In “Hero’s Journey,” Trailblazers will head to various locations in the Xianzhou with Mr. Xiyan, and reminisce past stories and vanquished formidable foes to perfect this “wondrous” tale.
Tales of the Fantastic: Chapter 1

➥ Before you start the quest, make sure to get your team ready because once you start the conversation with Mr. Xiyan, it will lead to a battle with the Master of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus.

➥ When you turn into cycrane, your overall task is to find 3 flowers with different elements. Each lotus has similar ‘puzzles’ you need to solve.
1) Icefire Lotus

➥ For the Ice Lotuses, you need to collect pellets in 3 different spots. You can gather them by just following the navigation:
1) On top of a rooftop
2) On top of a huge tree root
3) Between 2 wolves

➥ For the pellet between the 2 wolves, you need to ascend higher and descend behind them slowly. If they notice you, your cycrane self will restart to its starting position.
2) Life-Death Polypore

➥ For the Life-Death Polypore, you need to collect pellets in 3 different spots. You can gather them by just following the navigation:
1) Between 2 wolves on top of a rooftop
2) On top of the Dragon Tree
3) On top of a table

➥ For the pellet on top of a table, you need to distract the wolf in front of the table first by interacting with the lantern hanging on the gate.
3) Whirlbolt Pneumatophore

➥ For the Whirlbolt Pneumatophore, you need to collect pellets in 3 different spots. You can gather them by just following the navigation:
1) On top of the huge furnace
2) Between two wolves
3) Between two wolves too

➥ For the two pellets between the two wolves, you need to time it correctly and reach for the pellet when the wolves are in the middle of their route.
Tales of the Fantastic: Chapter 2

➥ For the 2nd chapter, you need to complete the trials from the statue.

➥ For the first trial, you need to find a malicious Mirage Echo among many Echoes. The correct one is the one at the far back, muttering “They should’ve picked me as the high elder…” After interacting with it, you need to enter a brief battle with wolves.

➥ For the second trial, you need to find the secret treasure chest left by the high elder. But instead of a treasure chest, you will find many breakable vases at the spot marked by navigation. Break those vases to complete this trial.

➥ Now that you finished the trial, you need to bring the high elder into this world by completing an Abacus Circuitry puzzle. Here’s the solution to the challenge:
1) Choose button 2 and rotate right 1 time
2) Choose button 1 and rotate right 2 times
3) Choose button 2 and rotate right 1 time
4) Choose button 1 and rotate right 1 time
Tales of the Fantastic: Chapter 3

➥ Chapter 3 is mostly straight to the point as there are no more puzzles for your to solve. Once you talk to Mr. Xiyan and the child actor in Scalegorge, you will immediately enter a battle so switch to your best team beforehand.

➥ When you need to use the starskiff seed, there will 3 of them for you to investigate. But the real one that will give you the quest item is the last one at far southwest.

➥ The treasure map you need to find in the Alchemy Commission is just beside the Dragon Tree, west on the mini-map.

➥ Meanwhile, the treasure you need to find is near the huge furnace. You can’t use a space anchor in this mission so you need to walk all over there and use the elevator. In fact, you can see where the treasure is when you use the elevator.

➥ The last ‘puzzle’ you need to solve is to choose the correct options when forging the divine weapon. You can see the solution in the image above, or the text below:
1) Put in the Bona Aqua
2) Put in the Ignis Aureliae
3) Put in the coolant
4) Put hilt-wood in first, and then the Bona Aqua
Legends Past and Present
In the different Legends Past and Present stages, Trailblazers can use the ‘Plot Armors’ obtained from “Hero’s Journey” to gain various buffs. Fight continuous waves of enemies to earn points to obtain rewards.
Scene 1: The Chase Is On
1) Hero’s Trial

➥ After defeating an enemy target, DMG dealt increases by 30% for 1 turn. This effect can be stacked 3 times. After defeating a Trotter, immediately recovers 4 Skill Points. Additionally, all points received by all allies increased by 100% for 1 turn.
➥ Since there are lots of mobs here, you can easily stack the first buff. Remember that one specific character is the one that needs to deal the finishing blow to get the buff (Can be follow-up attacks).
2) Recommended Protagonist Model

- Star-Shattering Blade of Truth (II): Increases allies’ follow-up attack DMG dealt by 100%.
- Bona-Aqua (Fully-Sweetened with Tapioca): Every time a Skill Point is consumed, heal all allies for 8% of their Max HP.
3) Recommended Teams

➥ Himeko + Herta + [Erudition] + Seele/Sushang
AoE is really great here without a doubt so having 3 of them is not a problem. The last spot is recommended given to a Hunt character so they can focus on defeating Trotter before they run away. As you can see, there’s no healer or shielder, that’s because I already added Bona-Aqua buff in the Protagonist Model. Sure, it’s not much, but it will make the team survivable with all the squishy characters (unless you are unlucky and the enemies attack the same character relentlessly).

➥ Himeko + Herta + Blade/Sushang + Luocha/Natasha
You can opt to bring a healer to replace the Erudition if you want consistent healing (and if your character is really not built enough), but remember to change the Bona-Aqua from ‘Fully-Sweetened with Tapioca’ to ‘Half-Sweetened with Coconut Jelly’ because you don’t need a healing buff anymore. So changing it to SPD buff is more beneficial.
4) Tips

➥ The one thing you must focus on in this stage is to inflict as many Weakness Breaks as you can. This will trigger Himeko’s Talent which deals AoE damage to all enemies. Since the enemies here have low HP, Himeko’s AoE earlier should be able to reduce some of them to below 50% HP, which indirectly triggers Herta’s Talent that also deals AoE damage to all enemies.

➥ If you bring a Hunt character, make sure to use them to focus on the Warp Trotter to get that sweet 4 Skill Points and 100% more points for 1 turn.
Scene 2: From Death, Comes Life
1) Hero’s Trial

➥ If a character’s HP changes during their own turn, DMG dealt by this character is increased by 120% for 1 turn. After defeating a Trotter, all allies regenerate 100% of their respective max Energy. Additionally, all points received by all allies increase by 100% for 1 turn.
➥ When they said HP changes, it can be either self-inflict (like Blade’s Skill), being attacked by enemies, or even being healed by a healer.
2) Recommended Protagonist Model

- Life-Death Polypore (II): DMG dealt by allies increased by 50%. However, at the end of the turn, 10% of their current HP will be consumed.
- High Elder MK3000: All allies’ Crit Rate increases by 25%.
- Elixir of Dragon Oil (II): When an ally receives healing, increases their CRIT DMG by 100% for 1 turn.
3) Recommended Teams

➥ Blade + Luocha + [Flex] + Seele
Don’t bring a Preservation character that can taunt (except if it’s March). This is because we want the enemies to attack Blade as much as possible and trigger his Talent. If you bring a shielder like Gepard or Fire MC, enemies might attack them instead. March is an exception because her shield will make enemies attack the shielded character (in this case, Blade) which is perfect for him.
Seele is here to solely focus on the Trotter. The buff it provides is no joke; once defeated, all allies fully regenerate Energy. That’s why whenever it’s Seele’s turn, make sure to manually aim at the Trotter and defeat it first for that sweet free Ultimates.

➥ Blade + Luocha + Tingyun + Qingque/Sushang/Physical MC
Qingque/Physical Trailblazer or Sushang can be a replacement for Seele if you don’t have her, and if you think their DPS is not enough, you can add Tingyun to buff them up.
4) Tips

➥ Whenever the Trotter arrives, make sure to use up all your Ultimates before it’s defeated. This is because once it’s defeated, you will fully regenerate the Ultimates again. If your Ultimate is already full when the Trotter is down, it is a waste of free Ultimates.
Scene 3: Superior Firepower
1) Hero’s Trial

➥ All DoT is increased by 150%. After defeating a Trotter, there is a 50% fixed chance of inflicting Burn, Wind Shear, Bleed, and Shock on all enemies. Additionally, all points received by all allies increase by 100% for 1 turn.
➥ DoT is the damage-over-time that enemies will receive at the start of each turn. You can inflict DoT by inflicting Weakness Break. Fire Weakness Break will lead to Burn, Wind Weakness Break lead to Wind Shear, etc.
2) Recommended Protagonist Model

- Reaper of Nexus Modder (II): When a Skill or Ultimate is used, if the target is currently inflicted with DoT(s), all DoTs currently applied on the target will immediately deal DMG equivalent to 75% of these statuses’ original DMG.
- High Elder MK3000: All allies’ Crit Rate increases by 25%.
- Imaginary Intra-Kinetic Portable Tactical Laser Cannon: Increase allies’ Weakness Break efficiency by 100%.
- Ultimate Expert John Doe: All points received from using Ultimates increased by 50%.
3) Recommended Teams

➥ Sampo + Serval + [Erudition] + Natasha/Luocha
Aside from the Trial Characters, you definitely gonna need either a shielder or a healer because the enemies here can hit you a lot of times, with such huge damage too (especially on our squishy characters). If you’re unlucky, the enemy might target the same character and lead to death. If that happens, definitely go for a shielder rather than a healer.

➥ Sampo + Serval + Physical MC/Blade + March 7th/Gepard
If you don’t have any other Erudition, I suggest going with Destruction characters since they have the ability to do Blast attacks. The Hunt isn’t really recommended because there are a lot of enemies here and their single-target abilities are not a good match.
4) Tips

➥ The one thing you need to focus on doing in this stage is similar to Scene 1, where you need to keep Weakness Breaking. After all, you must take advantage of the stage buff that gives 150% DoT, and these Damage-over-Times can only be applied when the enemies are afflicted with Weakness Break. So make sure to bring elements that align with the enemies’ Weaknesses (since most enemies have different Weakness types).
Scene 4: Vanquishing Evils
1) Hero’s Trial

➥ After defeating an enemy target, DMG dealt increases by 25% for 1 turn. This effect can be stacked 2 times.

- High Elder MK3000: All allies’ Crit Rate increases by 25%.
- Bona-Aqua (Half-Sweetened with Coconut Jelly): After an ally uses their Ultimate, their next action is Advanced Forward by 20%.
- Follow-Up Attack Expert John Doe: All points received from using follow-up attacks increase by 50%.
3) Recommended Teams

➥ Himeko + Herta + Jing Yuan + Natasha/Luocha
Erudition is all you need at this stage to get the 60000 Points. Well, not-a-joke aside, one healer is recommended too because there is an Elite Enemy here that has a counterattack that hurts a lot. And yes, while there is an Elite Enemy here, a Hunt character is not needed (to get the 60000 Points) because the combination of Himeko and Herta is enough to chip away his health slowly but surely.

➥ Himeko + Herta + Seele/Physical MC + Pela
You can aim for higher Points if you bring a Hunt character like Seele or even Destruction characters like Physical MC, they can focus on the Elite Enemy to defeat him faster. But remember that two of the Protagonist Models that I recommended are linked to follow-up attacks. In this case, you can change them to Star-Shattering Blade of Truth (I) and Ultimate/Skill Expert John Doe.
Scene 5: Darkest Hour Before Dawn
1) Hero’s Trial

➥ If a character’s HP changes during their own turn, DMG dealt by this character is increased by 120% for 1 turn. After defeating a Trotter, all allies regenerate 100% of their respective max Energy. Additionally, all points received by all allies increase by 100% for 1 turn.
➥ When they said HP changes, it can be either self-inflict (like Blade’s Skill), or being attacked by enemies, or even being healed by a healer.

- Ultimate Expert John Doe: All points received from using Ultimates increased by 50%.
3) Recommended Teams

➥ Blade + Luocha + Jing Yuan + [Flex]
Definitely bring Jing Yuan or Serval along the team because the Elite Enemy here loves to summon its Dragonfish. With any one of those two Lightning characters, you can easily inflict Weakness Break and blow them up. The Flex spot can be another Erudition character (like Qingque) as well since an enemy will keep coming once one is defeated, so AoE or Blast attacks are really loved in this stage. Harmony is also a great replacement to buff the whole team.

➥ Blade + Luocha + Jing Yuan + Seele/Dan Heng
If you don’t have enough DPS to deal with the Gatekeeper, bring one Hunt character to the team so they can focus on the Elite Enemy. Don’t forget about the Trotter too! They can provide free Ultimate for the whole team. In fact, make sure to use all Ultimates first before defeating the Trotter so you can get them back instantly!
Scene 6: Triumphant Return

- DoT Expert John Doe: All points received from causing DoTs increased by 50%.
3) Recommended Teams

➥ Sampo + Serval + Jing Yuan + Luocha
Don’t forget your healer because both Sampo and Serval are really squishy. Having double Erudition here is not bad since there are at least 4 enemies per wave, and although not everyone has Lightning Weakness, you can still chip away every enemies’ health slowly.

➥ Sampo + Serval + Seele/Dan Heng + Luocha
If you want to have an easy time during the boss wave, definitely bring one Hunt character here to focus on it. Seele is better than Dan Heng not because of rarity, but because her element can break both the Elite Enemy and Trotters’ Toughness Bar.
