Memory of Chaos Stage 9 Guide (V1.3)

Memory Turbulence

➥ Summons a Trotter at the beginning of each wave or each cycle. The Trotter takes 200% more DMG from Basic ATKs and DoT effects. When defeated, recovers 2 Skill Points for all allies.

Enemies Lineup

Team Recommendations

Node 1
➥ Recommended Elements: Lightning & Fire
AoE DPS is extremely recommended here because there are too many capable enemies here and you would want to exterminate them (or at least Weakness Break them easily).

Node 2
➥ Recommended Elements: Imaginary & Wind
For F2P, definitely bring Pela along to remove the recovery buff from [Disciples of Sanctus Medicus], where if it hits your characters, it will drain your HP and recover itself. Another important character here is Natasha, or any character that can dispel buff from your character because of Kafka’s Dominate Skill.

Observation

Node 1: Frigid Prowler & Decaying Shadow

➥ Start the battle with either Lightning or Quantum attacks to Weakness Break the Imaginary Weaver. In the first wave, you want to remove the 2 Imaginary Weavers as fast as possible because they can deal huge AoE DMG. Only after that can you deal with the Frigid Prowler safely.

➥ With 3 initial enemies + 1 Warp Trotter on the field, Frigid Prowler can only summon 1 Everwinter Shadewalker because of lack of spaces (maximum 5 enemies at a time). But if you already kill any enemies beforehand, the boss can summon 2 Everwinter Shadewalkers. Once it spawns, defeat the Everwinter Shadewalker because if it is still alive by the next turn, Frigid Prowler will devour one of them and increase its ATK. But, if there are no Everwinter Shadewalkers on the field, its DEF is decreased.

➥ Frigid Prowler has a high chance to inflict Deep Freeze debuff on your characters. For each stack of Deep Freeze, the character’s ice resistance will be reduced by 20%, and their speed will be reduced by 12%. If you stack up to 3 layers of Deep Freeze, your character’s Ice resistance will be reduced by 60%, and the attacks will turn from being hit by a motorcycle to being hit by a truck. You can remove this buff using a cleanser like Natasha and Luocha’s skill!

➥ In the second wave, you should focus on the Frigid Prowler because its summoning skill is a huge threat and we don’t want it to keep summoning more mobs. However, change your target to Decaying Shadow when she uses Binding of the Golden Age skill. Do everything in your power to decrease her stack as much as possible. During her next action, she will use the remaining Gauge Recollection she had to deal Liberation of the Golden Age. The more stack she has, the higher the damage she will deal. It will be even better if you can trigger Weakness Break so this ability will fail to activate.
➥ Based on the image above, another tip that you can exploit with the current Memory Turbulence is by letting the Warp Trotters stay on the field and not kill it. This way, Frigid Prowler can only summon 1 Everwinter Shadewalker, making it easier for you to defeat since you can prioritize it.

Node 2: Kafka & Disciple of Sanctus Medicus: Shape Shifter

➥ Start the battle with either Imaginary or Wind attacks to reduce the Toughness Bar on the elite enemy. In this wave, focus on the Internal Alchemist first. His attacks are not high, but one of his skills is troublesome. He can inflict Spur of Thunderwoe (debuff) on your character. If the Alchemist dies with the debuff still affecting your character, the enemy will explode and deal Lightning DMG to the said character. Those damages are nothing to laugh at either (especially if your characters are squishy or have low HP). However, you can remove the debuff using a cleanser or take it like a champ before healing your character using a healer.

➥ Depending on whether you bring Pela or not; if you bring her, make sure to use her Skill whenever the elite enemy uses his Mara Summon ability to summon 2 Mara-Struck Soldiers (1 in the image above because the maximum of enemies are 5). This will remove his hit recovery buff (When hitting a target, he will drain their HP) and prevent him from healing himself over and over again. If you don’t bring Pela (or other characters that can remove debuff), your only option is to defeat the summoned Mara-Struck Soldiers which honestly is a waste of turn unless you bring a strong Erudition character.

➥ In the second wave, you want to focus on Kafka! Her HP is not too high (which is good for us), but one of her skills is the main threat. You don’t want your main DPS, or even worse, your healer to be inflicted with her Dominated skill.

➥ Although you need to focus on Kafka, don’t forget to keep removing the Draining Hit buff from the Shape Shifter whenever he summons new Mara-Struck Soldiers. Only once Kafka is defeated can you safely focus on the Shape Shifter and his group of Soldiers.
