Compete Trailblaze Mission ‘A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant’
➥ When reading the message from the Anonymous person, you can choose any options you want as it won’t affect the ending, yet.
Letter from a Strange Woman
➥ You have 3 options you can choose from when starting the mission:
1. Head to Kafka’s location
2. (Optional) Ask Himeko and Welt’s opinion
3. (Optional) Report Kafka to the Seat of Divine Foresight
➥ Doing the optional tasks are not an issue and won’t change the opening of the mission since you will still need to meet Kafka afterward. But you will have interaction with Himeko and Welt if you choose to complete the optional first.
True Free Will
➥ Teleport to Divination Commission and go to Kafka’s coordinate. There are 2 major options here and it will bring you to 2 different endings. The first option is to keep refusing to help her. Below are all the dialogues to reject her request:
1. No. I’m here to refuse your request.
2. So I could say “no” to your face.
3. No, I’m leaving.
4. No, I’m leaving. (It’s the same answer as before)
➥ After that, you will still have the option to either help Kafka or leave her alone. If you choose the latter, you will immediately complete the Companion Mission and obtain the hidden achievement of ‘True Free Will.’ But don’t worry as you will still get the whole rewards even if you decide to not help Kafka.
Free Will
➥ If you choose to help Kafka with Blade’s condition of Mara-struck, you will get another achievement called ‘Free Will’ at the end of the Companion Mission. In addition to some lore about Trailblazer from Blade himself.
➥ The first task you need to do is to clear out enemies roaming nearby. Both enemies have been marked on the mini-map and it’s not even far away from Kafka’s location. After defeating those 2 enemies, go back to Kafka and Blade’s hideout.
Game of Truth and Lies
➥ As a thank you for the help, Kafka decided to play a game of truth and lies. Both sides ask each other two questions then give one true answer and one false answer each. In this game, you can choose whatever you want, either to lie, tell the truth, or just cheat as it won’t affect the ending of this Companion Mission.
➥ The second task is here and you need to deal with the Cloud Knights. You can either charge straight into battles by choosing the option “Talk to the fist.” After dealing with the Cloud Knights, go back to Kafka for another round of truth and lies before she gives you another task.
➥ This time, there are yet another 2 enemies you need to deal with. Same as before, you can try to change the future and prevent the battle from happening. This is how it goes:
➥ For the Cloud Knights at the north, if you want to avoid a battle, go to the Gatekeeper Automaton and click Investigate. The Trailblazer will hint that you can destroy the automaton in secret.
➥ To destroy the Automaton, you need to complete an Abacus Circuitry puzzle. Here’s the solution:
1. Choose button 2 and rotate left 2 times
2. Choose button 1 and rotate right 1 time
3. Choose button 2 and rotate left 2 times
4. Choose button 1 and rotate left 1 time
➥ For the Mara-Struck in the south, if you want to avoid a battle, you need to interact with the mechanism near the door. The Trailblazer will hint that closing the door will close the path and you don’t need to battle the Mara-Struck.
➥ To close the door, you need to complete an Abacus Circuitry puzzle. Here’s the solution:
1. Choose button 1 and rotate left 1 time
2. Choose button 2 and rotate left 1 time
3. Choose button 1 and rotate right 2 times
4. Choose button 2 and rotate right 1 time
➥ After dealing with the Cloud Knights, go back to Kafka for the last round of truth and lies before she gives you the last task.
➥ The last task is to defeat Yanqing. Surprisingly (or not), when Yanqing asks why the Trailblazer is here, Kafka took the blame and said the Trailblazer was struck by her Skill so they need to obey her unconditionally. This battle cannot be avoided and you need to defeat Yanqing fair and square.
➥ His Skills are the same as the ones in the Memory of Xianzhou. So if you have fought him before, you should be able to defeat him here too. After that, the Companion Mission is completed, but not before Blade some information about the Trailblazer.
➥ Apparently, before Trailblazer is awakened by Kafka, they had once followed her for a long time. Blade also mentioned that Kafka goes to great lengths to keep Trailblazer alive until now.
