The Honkai: Star Rail Second Closed Beta will officially begin on May 25th, 2022 at 10:00 AM (UTC+8)! All invitations have been sent out, so check your inbox! Below is the official issuance notice from miHoYo and the FAQ.

Hello, Trailblazers. All Second Closed Beta accesses have been successfully distributed.

Please refer to the official access notification email for details. Please check if the notification email from us has been sent to the email address you provided during the Sign-Up Survey.

※ Note that certain emails may be delivered to your Subscription or Junk Mail folders. Please double check.

Trailblazers should be careful not to open emails from unknown senders for the sake of the safety of personal information.

In addition, Trailblazers who obtained access to the Second Closed Beta through community events will be notified separately after the end of those events. Please ensure that the notifications are from our official accounts to avoid frauds.

The Express Crew wants to reiterate the importance of maintaining fairness and order in Honkai: Star Rail. Any access gained through accounts confirmed to have been bought, borrowed, or shared will be disqualified.

Please do not trust any information regarding account sharing or trading and beta package installation sales. Protect your account information and property to avoid unnecessary losses.

In order to maintain a fair and orderly Honkai: Star Rail environment, and to provide a healthy and fair testing environment, the Crew will be revoking closed beta access for any accounts that violate the following rules.

1. Account trading, renting, sharing, and other similar behaviors: The beta test access will be bound to the device you use to log in for the first time. During the test, one account can only be bound to one device per platform, and other devices cannot be used for the same platform. If you switch devices for a platform during the test period, your game account will be banned and will not be unblocked during the beta. Trailblazers should also pay attention to not trust any information regarding beta account sharing or trading, the sale of the test installation package etc. to avoid unnecessary losses.

2. You may not create, publish, disseminate, or use any manner of tools or software that obstruct the fairness of gameplay: including but not limited to those that simulate user actions, modify the operation environment, modify game data, falsify device information, and falsify IP addresses.

About the Second Closed Beta Sign-Up

Q: How do I participate in the Second Closed Beta?

Go to the Second Closed Beta sign-up page (https://hoyo.link/fdanWLB6), fill out the survey completely, then submit it. If the sign-up is successful, you will have the chance to gain beta access.

Q: I did not participate in the First Closed Beta. Am I still eligible to join the Second Closed Beta?

A: Yes, this is an independent full-wipe beta test. The previous beta sign-up and access will not affect this beta. If you want to participate in the Second Closed Beta, please complete and submit the survey through the official Second Closed Beta sign-up page (link) during the Second Closed Beta sign-up period.

Q: When does the sign-up close for the Second Closed Beta?

A: The sign-up closes on 2022/5/15 at 12:00 (UTC+8). After that, we will not be accepting any more sign-ups for the Second Closed Beta. We kindly seek your understanding.

Q: Is the Second Closed Beta different from the Galaxy Explorer Program?

A: They are two different tests and do not affect one another. Whether you are part of the Galaxy Explorer Program or not, you can still sign up for the Second Closed Beta.

Q: I am an Android user, can I sign up to play the Second Closed Beta on the Android platform?

A: Yes. The Second Closed Beta is available on PC, Android, and iOS platforms.

Q: What if I fill in the wrong information on the survey?

A: The Second Closed Beta sign-up survey can only be filled out once per HoYoverse Account, and cannot be modified after the survey has been submitted. After completing the survey, the Trailblazers’ platform information (PC, Android, and iOS) will be collected. This information can only be modified once, so please fill it in carefully.

Q: How are test participants selected?

A: The Express Crew will randomly select some Trailblazers to participate in this Second Closed Beta based on the information provided in the sign-up survey, and will eventually send a test invitation to the successful Trailblazers via email.

** Children who are protected under the relevant laws of personal information protection in their country or region must receive prior approval from their parent or guardian before participating in this beta test.

Q: Besides submitting the sign-up survey, is there any other way to obtain access to the Second Closed Beta?

Q: When will successful applicants be notified?

A: After the Second Closed Beta sign-up closes, the Express Crew will notify the Trailblazers who have successfully obtained the Second Closed Beta test access through the email address you provided in the sign-up survey as soon as possible. Q: When does the Second Closed Beta start?

Q: I participated in the First Closed Beta. Will my data from the First Closed Beta be carried forward?

A: No. The game data was completely wiped after the beta test. It will not be carried forward.

Q: Will my game data for the Second Closed Beta be saved after the beta ends?

A: It will not be saved.

Q: Will this Second Closed Beta contain any purchasable items?

A: There will not be any purchasable items for this beta.

Q: What languages will the Second Closed Beta support?

The Second Closed Beta package you download will support the following languages: Traditional Chinese, English, Korean, Japanese, Russian, Thai, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesia, and Spanish.

Q: What voice-over languages will the Second Closed Beta support?

Q: Are there any device requirements for the Second Closed Beta?

A: Please ensure that you have at least 8–10 GB of available storage space on your device to download and run the beta.

Q: Does the Second Closed Beta require internet connection?

A: The beta access will be bound to the device you use to log in for the first time. During the beta, one account can only be bound to one device per platform, and other devices cannot be used for the same platform.

Using iOS as an example, your account will be linked to the iOS device you use to log in for the first time. Your account will be blocked if you attempt to log in on a new iOS device thereafter, and you will lose access to this beta. The same will happen for PC and Android.

Therefore, please DO NOT make the following adjustments after installing the beta: change PC hardware, reinstall operating system, update phone operating system, reset phone to factory settings, etc. The operations above may cause the system to recognize the device as a new device and result in an account ban.

Appeal channels for accounts being blocked or disqualified will be unavailable during this beta due to potential account selling or sharing.

Q5. Does the Second Closed Beta support cross-save functionality for a single HoYoverse Account ID between PC, Android, and iOS?

A: Yes. For example, you have run the game on your PC and logged out, then you can use the same HoYoverse Account ID to continue the game on your iOS device.

Q: I switched my device during the Second Closed Beta. Will I be able to play the game on my new device?
