Fu Xuan Character Guide

The head of the Xianzhou Luofu's Divination Commission. A confident and blunt sage.

Fu Xuan is a defensive character who can reduce the DMG taken by all allies, share DMG taken by other teammates, and increase the Crit Rate of all allies. When Fu Xuan’s HP is at a certain percentage or lower, she will restore her HP.

Skills Overview

Basic Attack – Novaburst

Deals Quantum DMG equal to 25%—55% of Fu Xuan’s Max HP to a single enemy.

Skill – Known by Stars, Shown by Hearts

Activates Matrix of Prescience, via which other team members will Distribute 65% of the DMG they receive (before this DMG is mitigated by any Shields) to Fu Xuan for 3 turn(s).
While affected by Matrix of Prescience, all team members gain the Knowledge effect, which increases their respective Max HP by 3%—6.6% of Fu Xuan’s Max HP, and increases CRIT Rate by 6%—13.2%.
When Fu Xuan is knocked down, the Matrix of Prescience will be dispelled.

Ultimate – Woes of Many Morphed to One

Deals Quantum DMG equal to 60%—108% of Fu Xuan’s Max HP to all enemies and obtains 1 trigger count for the HP Restore effect granted by Fu Xuan’s Talent.

Talent – Bleak Breeds Bliss

While Fu Xuan is still active in battle, Misfortune Avoidance is applied to the entire team. With Misfortune Avoidance, allies take 10%—19.6% less DMG.
When Fu Xuan’s current HP falls to 50% of her Max HP or less, HP Restore will be triggered for Fu Xuan, restoring her HP by 80%—92% of the amount of HP she is currently missing. This effect cannot be triggered if she receives a killing blow. This effect possesses 1 trigger count by default and can have a maximum of 2 trigger counts.

Technique – Of Fortune Comes Fate

After the Technique is used, all team members receive a Barrier, lasting for 20 seconds. This Barrier can block all enemy attacks, and the team will not enter battle when attacked. Entering battle while the Barrier is active will have Fu Xuan automatically activate Matrix of Prescience at the start of the battle, lasting for 2 turn(s).

Ascension 2 – Taiyi, the Macrocosmic

When Matrix of Prescience is active, Fu Xuan will regenerate 20 extra Energy when she uses her Skill.

Ascension 4 – Dunjia, the Metamystic

When Fu Xuan’s Ultimate is used, heals all other allies by an amount equal to 5% of Fu Xuan’s Max HP plus 133.

Ascension 6 – Liuren, the Sexagenary

If a target enemy applies Crowd Control debuffs to allies while the Matrix of Prescience is active, all allies will resist all Crowd Control debuffs applied by the enemy target during the current action. This effect can only be triggered once. When Matrix of Prescience is activated again, the number of times this effect can be triggered will reset.

  4. Landau’s Choice (4✩)
  5. Day One of My New Life (4✩)

1) She Already Shut Her Eyes

[Superimpose 1] Effects: Increases the wearer’s Max HP by 24% and Energy Regeneration Rate by 12%.
When the wearer’s HP is reduced, all allies’ DMG dealt increases by 9.0%, lasting for 2 turn(s).
At the start of every wave, restores HP to all allies by an amount equal to 80% of their respective lost HP.

Note: Fu Xuan’s BIS as it increases her Max HP (which she scales from) and ER rate (she needs to use Ultimate to restore Talent). The cherry on top, it also increases the team’s DMG.

2) Moment of Victory

[Superimpose 1] Effects: Increases the wearer’s DEF by 24% and Effect Hit Rate by 24%. Increases the chance for the wearer to be attacked by enemies. When the wearer is attacked, increase their DEF by an extra 24% until the end of the wearer’s turn.

Note: Fu Xuan scales off her HP, so the DEF is not that useful. But it does increase her survivability and aggro so she can passively restore Energy.

3) Texture of Memories

[Superimpose 1] Effects: Increases the wearer’s Effect RES by 8%. If the wearer is attacked and has no Shield, they gain a Shield equal to 16% of their Max HP for 2 turn(s). This effect can only be triggered once every 3 turn(s). If the wearer has a Shield when attacked, the DMG they receive decreases by 12%.

Note: If you build her off HP (as you should), the shield she gains can be quite tough, increasing her survivability.

4) Landau’s Choice

[Superimpose 5] Effects: The wearer is more likely to be attacked, but DMG taken is reduced by 24%.

5) Day One of My New Life

[Superimpose 5] Effects: Increases wearer’s DEF by 24%. After entering battle, increases DMG RES of all allies by 12%. Effects of the same type cannot stack.

6) Defense

[Superimpose 5] Effects: When the wearer unleashes their Ultimate, they restore HP by 30% of their Max HP.

Note: For new players or if you really don’t have anything else.

Team Recommendations

F2P Team

The usual team consists of DPS + Buff + Debuffer + Defender but everyone is 4-star except for Fu Xuan. This team can be changed to P2P by swapping Dan Heng to any 5-star DPS like Jing Yuan/Seele/etc.

Balanced Team

The P2P version of the F2P team above where the DPS is a 5-star character. Fu Xuan can be slotted into most available teams in HSR because of her ability to defend and also heal (albeit weak healing). But, it’s recommended to let her in the team where the DPS with Crit builds (Blade/Clara/Seele/Dan Heng/Imbibitor Lunae/etc.) as she can provide Crit Rate to all allies.

Mono-Quantum Team

A bit on the expensive side as 3 of the characters are 5-star characters. Unless the enemies are weak to Quantum, Silver Wolf plays an important role in the team to inflict Quantum Weakness on enemies without the said weakness. Lynx can be replaced with any other Quantum characters if you want.
