Aurum Alley's Hustle and Bustle Event Guide (Part 1) | Honkai: Star Rail

The decaying Aurum Alley is now facing a chance of revitalization – It can either be funded and rebuilt by the IPC, or be led back to prosperity by the local merchant guilds. And now, you are in a position to influence its decision…

Since the whole event is too long, I decided to divide the event guide into 2 posts. This is the first part of Back in Business (I) and (II). The next part can be seen here: Aurum Alley’s Hustle and Bustle Event Guide (2)

Gameplay Overview

After the event starts, a new series of Adventure Missions, “Back in Business,” will become available. Complete Back in Business (1) to begin Aurum Alley Operations. There are a total of 4 phases.
After the limited-time event, Aurum Alley’s Hustle and Bustle, is over, Trailblazers will be unable to claim the event’s limited-time rewards. However, Trailblazers can still head to the Xianzhou Luofu’s Exalting Sanctum’s Aurum Alley’s Hustle and Bustle to obtain Regular Rewards.
During Aurum Alley Operations, earn “Merchant Guild’s funds” to help the merchant guild solve the crisis. After achieving the Merchant Guild’s funding goal of each phase and delivering it to the merchant quild, the subsequent mission storyline will be triggered and the landscape of Aurum Alley will change.
During the operations period, you can also complete “Merchant Events” to establish collaborative relationships with stores. After which, you can advance the operations process and alter the store’s landscape. Some stores after establishing collaborations will provide goods that can be sold.
After advancing Aurum Alley’s Operations Phase, more Merchant Events will be unlocked.

Gameplay 1: Inventory Arrangement

During Aurum Alley’s operations period, you can earn Merchant Guild’s funds via Inventory Arrangement.
After completing Merchant Events, you can add new orders and goods for Inventory Arrangement.
After achieving Aurum Alley’s Phase Goal, you will unlock the “Custom Order” of each store as a gameplay challenge.
After advancing Aurum Alley’s Operations Phase, a larger-capacity freight starskiff will become available, allowing for larger shipping revenue.

Gameplay 2: Logistics Planning

During Aurum Alley Operations, you can plan routes in “Logistics Planning” and obtain corresponding rewards by achieving certain logistic scoring.
After completing Merchant Events, you can unlock the corresponding stores in Logistics Planning and plan the logistics route from the store to the dock.
After achieving Aurum Alley’s Phase Goal, there will be “Streetside Events.” Complete them to obtain rewards and unlock the route advantages in Logistics Planning.
After advancing Aurum Alley’s Operations Phase, the Low-Elevation, Mid-Elevation, and High-Elevation logistics lanes will be opened in order to accommodate more stores.

Gameplay Details

Back in Business (I)

➥ Complete Inventory Arrangement (gameplay 1) on freight starskiffs and reach shipping targets to earn Merchant Guild’s funds. Select/Drag goods to perform arrangement on the starskiffs. You can also rotate the goods to change their positions (this is important for future orders).

Yuanfeng at Heron Express

Once again, just follow Sushang’s tutorial

➥ After the first tutorial is done, you need to talk to Yuanfeng to delve into Logistic Planning (gameplay 2). You need to plan the route from the store to the docks using as short a route as possible, so the docks will acquire new goods = more items in the Inventory Arrangement. Plan the route carefully so it will meet the Logistic Scoring so you can get all rewards. This time, the maximum reward for Logistic Scoring is 15.

Lianyan at Oldies Depot

For the last time, follow Sushang’s tutorial

➥ Following the quest navigation, you will now find Lianyan at Oldies Depot. This time, you also need to play with Logistic Planning, at the same time learning about Route Advantages (buff that can increase Logistic Scores). This time, the maximum reward for Logistic Scoring is 30.

Inventory Arrangement (1)

➥ Go back to Mingxi and complete 4 orders in Inventory Arrangement. You can follow the images below for a decent arrangement.
➥ Specific types of goods only fit in specific types of Placement Spots. Profit from a single inventory arrangement can be increased by overlaying goods on top of each other.

Merchant Event: Food Stand

➥ After completing 4 orders, you should be able to start the first Merchange Event: Food Stand. Just follow the quest navigation to complete the mission, regardless of your dialogue options. By the end of this Merchant Event, you will get ‘Authorized Recordings by Mr. Xiyan’ and ‘Authorized Recordings by Back’n and Forth.’

➥ Once the mission is completed, a new Logistic Scoring – Food Stall – will be unlocked. Follow the images above, and you will get the maximum reward for current Logistic Scoring: 45.

Inventory Arrangement (2)

➥ For the last time in the Back in Business (I) mission, go back to Mingxi and complete another 4 orders of Inventory Arrangement and get the goal of 100,000 Merchant’s Guild Fund.

➥ After you complete all the orders in Inventory Arrangement on this day, you will get Merchant Guild Letter of Appreciation 1. In this letter, there will be 3 Streetside Events and 3 Custom Orders (Yes, these are the custom orders from before that I told you to skip first). Let’s start with Streetside Events first before the Custom Orders.

Streetside Events

➥ Complete specific Streetside Events to generate new route advantages (buffs) in the courier network and obtain higher logistic scoring.

➥ Talk to the Responsible Cycrane on the ground and solve the Abacus Circuitry puzzle. The solution can be seen below:
1. Choose button 1 and rotate right 2 times
2. Choose button 2 and rotate left 2 times

➥ Talk to Cycrane that was about to break down and solve the Abacus Circuitry puzzle. The solution can be seen below:
1. Choose button 1 and rotate right 3 times
2. Choose button 3 and rotate left 2 times
3. Choose button 2 and rotate left 1 time

➥ Talk to Tall Auntie and she will ask you to check up on a Cycrane that was slacking off. Head north near Xingmi (you can also see the cycrane icon on the map) and Investigate the boxes. I choose ‘Whisper “you can get off duty” to its ear, although I believe every option is correct.

Custom Orders

➥ Now let’s go to Custom Orders. In Day 1, there are only 3 Custom Orders, each one is respective to the stores you visit and complete their Logistic Planning. You already completed the first one before (Heron Express), and now only 2 Custom Orders left: Oldies Depot and Food Stall.

➥ Now that you have completed the Merchant Guild Letter of Appreciation, go back to Mingxi and choose Logistics Planning. You will notice that the Low-Level section has been upgraded with a maximum score of 90 with lots of buffs. Follow the images above to reach the maximum Logistic Scoring.

Back in Business (II)

➥ After the new Adventure Mission is unlocked, you can meet Mingxi in Aurum Alley for the next task. She bought a snack for you so you can get it from Tall Auntie at her stall. But the primary task for this mission is the Debate function. Your first opponent is A-Feng, and when he starts talking about ‘the presence of an ingenium’ like in the image above, presents the evidence: Courier Package.

➥ Next is the debate with Skott and there is 2 evidences you can show him. The first one is during his statement about ‘the inability to pay the rent,’ and you need to present evidence: Rent for Aurum Alley Dock.

➥ The second one is when he mentioned ‘buy off a dock worker.’ Present the evidence: Dock Worker’s Testimony. There is some continuation but there is no puzzle whatsoever so just play the mission until the end.

Inventory Arrangement (1)

➥ Complete 2 orders from Inventory Arrangement before you can unlock new stores and goods. Now, you will get a mid-size freight starskiff. More spaces = more items = more funds.

Mr. Xiao at Artistry Hardware

➥ After completing the 2 rounds, you will talk to Yukong. Then, you can talk to Mr. Xiao at Artistry Hardware to talk about Logistic Planning, but he will test you first with an Abacus Circuitry puzzle first:
1. Choose button 2 and rotate left 1 time
2. Choose button 1 and rotate right 1 time
3. Choose button 2 and rotate left 3 times

➥ Only then can you plan a route in the Logistics Planning. Follow the images above, and you will get the maximum reward for the current Mid-Level Logistic Scoring: 15.

➥ Now we’re back to Mingxi for another 2 orders of Inventory Arrangement. You will get 3 new items from the Artistry Hardware.

➥ Once the mission is completed, a new Logistic Scoring – Longevity Hall – will be unlocked. Follow the images above, and you will get the maximum reward for the current Mid-Level Logistic Scoring: 30.

➥ Once again, we have another 2 orders in the Inventory Arrangement. Below are the steps to complete the Shipping Target & High Profit:

➥ We’re back with another Merchant Event. First of all, you need to talk with Small Auntie for the initial task of solving a Navigation Compass puzzle in Stargazer Navalia. Below are the correct steps to complete the puzzle (Make sure the yellow circle is the same as the image below):

➥ After defeating a Lupus inside the freight starskiff and bringing it back to the Small Auntie, time for the next task. This time, you need to take an order of 3 guests and choose the correct dialogue options. Below are the correct orders that the guests want:
Guest 1: A large bowl of moonlight rice.
Guest 2: Steamed soy sauce chicken. No coriander.
Guest 3: A medium cup of herbal tea.

➥ Finally, you can add the Delicacy Pavilion to the logistic plan. Follow the images above, and you will get the maximum reward for the current Mid-Level Logistic Scoring: 45.

Streetside Events

➥ Talk to Yuanfeng and he will mention a Cycrane that likes to slack off (yet another one). Meet the group of Cycrane just east of Yuanfeng’s location and choose ‘Catch them all’ to complete the event, pretty sure the options do not affect the overall ending of this event.

➥ Talk to New Tester and help her navigate the lost Cycrane. For the first option, choose ‘Go left.’ After that, you need to find the Cycrane again because it wanders off, but you can just check on the map for its icon.

➥ Talk to Little Tian and then you need to fight the fake Cloud Knight Officers. The dialogue option does not matter here.
